Based on the wisdom of our Elders and ancestors, Nlaka'pamux leaders guide the
Tribal Council in protection of title and rights, providing the vision for the
future; they hold the government accountable for "the honour of the Crown"; interact
with other Nations and Indigenous organizations; protect the land and resources;
foster the language, culture and identity of the Nlaka'pamux.
We owe a debt of gratitude to the leaders who have gone before us. They
protected Nlaka'pamux title and rights for future generations and provided the
foundation for the exercise of jurisdiction.

NNTC leaders are supported by staff and technical teams. Leadership meets regularly.
Leaders take direction from, and inform, their community members, recognizing title and
rights are communal in nature and belong to all Nlaka'pamux.
